What's in the box?
Everything that you need to solve Countdown To Chaos is contained within the envelope. Expect to find evidence to trawl through, letters, secret codes, puzzles, suspects to investigate and more.
A Digital World
All of The Detective Society games have digital elements. Perhaps you will have to hack into an online bank account, or message a suspect? Perhaps you will need to visit business websites to get key information, or look up maps and locations? It's all possible within our world! Access to the Internet is certainly required to play our games.
"I love to absorb all the information and read all the extra bits and bobs you find in the websites." (Board Game Goode)
"I was really impressed with the detail and information packed into the online pages. I also enjoyed the little nods here and there to the real world and this embedded the puzzle in real life making it feel more authentic." (Board Game Goode)
Key Details
The game is perfect for 1 - 4 players and should take around 1 hour to complete.
This is a single episode game. Like all our games, once you have solved it, you can not play it again because you will know all the answers to the puzzles. Well done!
Quotes from Review
"This was one of those mysteries where I got lost in the puzzle where the time went by without noticing and I was having so much fun I didn’t want it to come to an end."

Murder On The Moon
“The Detective Society deliver some of the best modern mystery games around.” - moviesgamesandtech.com
While establishing humankind's first permanent moon base, an astronaut is murdered. One of their fellow crew-members MUST be the killer, but it's up to you to uncover who is responsible for committing the Murder On The Moon.
Everything that you need to solve Murder On The Moon is contained within the box. The game consists of three thrilling episodes, each taking between an hour and an hour and a half to complete.
“Everything about this screams high-end. The packaging looks great and every aspect is chunky, vibrant, and easy to handle.” - moviesgamesandtech.com
Murder On The Moon includes an exciting new addition! If you have played any of our previous games then you will know that we love a map, here at The Detective Society. In Murder On The Moon the investigation requires you to build a 3D map of the moon base, literally adding a new dimension to our games:
The rest of the box is jam-packed with official documents, leaflets, blueprints, manuals, schematics, overlays, staff passes and much, much more for you to explore.
To create a truly modern detective experience, all members of the Society will need to examine digital resources, as well as the physical ones in the package.
Our bespoke communication systems allow players to converse with characters - so you can ask them about evidence, grill them about an alibi, or just have a jolly good chat.
"If your team can remain calm and not claw each other’s eyes out, you’ll laugh and joke as you interact with the virtual characters." - moviesgamesandtech.com
We also create incredibly detailed and immersive websites, which develop complex online worlds for detectives to explore as they search for answers.
We also utilise bespoke-coded interactive control panels and terminals in our games. In previous adventures players have needed to disarm a weapon at a water treatment plant; deactivate a diabolical machine and use a hacking terminal to infiltrate a fiendish system.
"The incredible combination of mechanics and the brilliant build quality will impress you. What’s more, the online action is seamless and I loved the story and the brilliant characters you encounter.
Including a 3D map adds another dimension to the playing field and I adored the sense of depth it creates. Each case file will make you smile as layers of information and images fall into your lap. When every element combines, you get a spell-bounding game that sucks you in from start to finish." - moviesgamesandtech.com
So, what are you waiting for? Join the mission and help solve the Murder On The Moon!
