Summoner’s Nexus is a competitive digital trading card game that blends strategic deck-building with dynamic combat mechanics. Each player takes on the role of a summoner, using a deck of avatars (monster cards) and runes (magic cards) to try and create tactical advantages over their opponent. 

The game is played in structured turns where players make decisions and engage in the gameplay simultaneously instead of waiting for each other to go back and forth. This means that the player always gets the opportunity to make decisions and play the game. It’s impossible to be completely shut out by your opponent, and you don’t have to wait for them to finish any complicated strategies before you get to enact your own!

RNG is also minimized in this game, placing a strong emphasis on skill, strategy, and timing. You decide which cards are going to feature in your opening hand in each game, adding a chess-like strategy element that rewards pre-game preparation as well as in-game adaptability. Players who master the mechanics and build cohesive decks are more likely to win. 

During the Early Alpha and Open Beta, all of the cards in the game are free. Once the full game is released, supporters and backers will have free rewards added to their accounts, but on top of that there are just tons of ways to get access to new cards!
