These events usually take place inside the Piazza Suites at the NEC. The area provides a variety of rooms with capacities ranging from 30 to 150 seats, with both theatre-style and workshop-style layouts. Some may take place a the Hilton Metropole Hotel with a capacity of up to 400 seats.

Seminar FAQ's

Who can submit Seminar events?
The overwhelming majority of events come from members of the board gaming and tabletop community. Individuals, community groups, academics and companies exhibiting at UKGE are all welcome to submit events for consideration.

What can my seminar be about?

All events must have relevance to tabletop gaming or an aspect of UKGE, and should not be overly promotional of a product or service. There must be enjoyable content for visitors. Submissions that contain a majority of marketing content will not be approved.

What does it cost to run a seminar?
There is no charge to event hosts to run an event as part of the Seminar Events schedule. We prefer these events to be unticketed. This means there is no additional charge to anyone with a valid UKGE Entry ticket, and seats are unreserved. UKGE Volunteers will check that all audience members have a valid UKGE Entry ticket. We will support speakers with a complimentary entry ticket for the day of their event, but we do not offer appearance fees, transportation costs or accommodation for speakers or organisers of these events.

Further information

There is a lot to consider when submitting your event and due to limited time and space available over the 3 days of UKGE we are not able to host all events that are submitted.

Please read this event organisers guide before submitting so that your event has the best chance of being accepted.
