Abalone Simul
Description
Simultaneous Exhibitions (aka ‘Simul’) are a well known concept from Chess. A strong player, typically a Grandmaster, plays multiple games at the same time against different opponents.
In this unique event, you can book your ticket to take part in an Abalone Simul against 10x World Champion Vincent Frochot.
Abalone is a quick to play and easy-to-learn Abstract board game. You can find the rules and play online against humans and bots at PlayStrategy.
Vincent won his first participation to the World Championships as a junior, and has since continued to win at all his World Championship matches, with his most recent participation in 2023. He is a keen ambassador for Abalone, having demonstrated the game all around the world, from his native France to Korea.
The Simul event is open to players of all levels, and will be run by the team behind the Mind Sports Olympiad and PlayStrategy on their stand in Hall 4.
Any player who can win against Vincent Frochot will receive free entry to the Mind Sports Olympiad Abalone World Championship tournament in London in August (precise date TBA).
All of the ticket sales, less VAT, will be donated to the 2025 UKGE Charites. You can find out more about who the 2025 UKGE Charities are here.
You will need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event.
