Description

Simultaneous Exhibitions (aka ‘Simul’) are a well known concept from Chess. A strong player, typically a Grandmaster, plays multiple games at the same time against different opponents.

In this unique event, you can book your ticket to take part in a Carcassonne Simul against 2023 World Carcassonne Champion Matt Tucker.

Matt won the UK Carcassonne Championship at the 2023 UKGE. He then went on to become the UK's first Carcassonne World Champion in his debut in the finals which were held in Germany.

All games will be played using the base game. No expansions (e.g. river, abbot) will be used.

The Simul event is open to players of all levels, and will be run by the team behind the Mind Sports Olympiad and PlayStrategy on their stand in Hall 4.

You can come and learn the game at the stand before the event. You can also try your hand at winning the 2025 UK Championship by booking your ticket here, and the 4-player tournament here.

Any player who can win against Matt Tucker will receive free entry to the Mind Sports Olympiad 2-player Carcassonne tournament in London in August (precise date TBA).

All of the ticket sales, less VAT, will be donated to the 2025 UKGE Charites. You can find out more about who the 2025 UKGE Charities are here.

You will need a valid UKGE entry ticket to attend this event.
