Description
Either bring your own level 5 character (happy with any 5e official rules) or use one of the provided Pregen Characters. Please also bring your own dice. Miniatures provided, but happy to have any you would like to bring as well.
You'll be the member of a swashbuckling crew set on adventure and conquest, so flavour your characters appropriately, but most level 5 builds will work for this oneshot
The island fortification of Nasau stands as a stalwart guardian against the turbulent Azure Coast. Its weathered walls have witnessed countless storms and thwarted numerous pirate raids, a testament to the island's strategic importance. The fort's defences, powered by an ancient relic known as the Tide Orb, have ensured Nasau's security for generations. Recently, a shadow has fallen upon the island. The Orb, a source of both power and stability, has been stolen, leaving Nasau vulnerable to those who would seek to exploit its weakened state. Whispers of treachery and clandestine meetings spread through the fort's narrow streets, fueling suspicion and unease among the garrison.
The fort's commander, a seasoned veteran named Captain Timbers, faces a dire predicament. Without the Tide Orb, Nasau's magical defences lie dormant, leaving the island exposed to attack. He has put out a call for adventurers, seeking individuals skilled enough to unravel the mystery of the Orb's disappearance and retrieve it before Nasau falls into enemy hands. Rumours point to a notorious smuggler known as "Fingers" Malone, a slippery character with ties to various unsavoury factions operating along the Azure Coast. His recent departure from Nasau, coupled with his reputation for shady dealings, has made him the prime suspect in the Orb's theft.
The players find themselves drawn into this intrigue, arriving at Nasau at a time of great peril. They must navigate the complex web of alliances and betrayals, following clues that lead them from the bustling fort to hidden coves and forgotten shrines. Their quest will test their skills in combat, investigation, and problem-solving as they race against time to recover the Tide Orb and restore Nasau's defences. The fate of the island, and perhaps the surrounding region, rests on their success.
