Ares Games are back as supporting sponsors of UK Games Expo

After a great experience in 2019 - when Ares Games made its debut as a sponsor of UK Games Expo – and a forced stop in 2020 and 2021 – the publisher will be back at the show in 2022, once again as a supporting sponsor.

“UK Games Expo is a great opportunity to meet British players and present our latest releases, introduce new games and preview upcoming titles. UK is a very important market for us, with a dedicated audience, especially for our War of the Ring line and our miniature games. We are happy to be back to the show, after missing the 2021 event due to the CoVid-19 travel restrictions,” commented Christoph Cianci, CEO of Ares Games.

New Releases and a Preview

This year, Ares will bring to UK Games Expo several new releases, including The Thing – The Board Game, an intense game experience for 1-8 players based on the 1982 cult movie directed by John Carpenter; the new game in the Quartermaster General series, Quartermaster General: 1914, which recreates the “Great War”, with mechanics reflecting the military, economy, and politics of the time; and Orconomics Second Edition, a boardgame that takes the chaotic economic world of modern Orcs to the gaming table.

Ares Games will also bring to the show the new Sword & Sorcery core set, Ancient Chronicles. This new campaign for Ares’ acclaimed cooperative tactical dungeon crawler, released a few months ago, brings the game system to the next level, with new features enhancing storytelling and broadening the scope of the players’ adventures.

Attendees will have the chance to see a preview of the upcoming War of the Ring – The Card Game, expected to release in late 2022. Designed by Ian Brody - the creator of the Quartermaster General series, the game will reflect the spirit of the War of the Ring board game in the format a multi-player card game.
