ManorCon

ManorCon is a once a year university based convention run by a committee of volunteers that has been running since 1983.  The convention started as the university's diplomacy event although today it involves any type of gaming.

Today the convention provides large open gaming spaces to try a large array of different games from the old favourites such as 18xx, tried and tested BGG Top 100 games and the cult of the new. It provides an opportunity to play new games with new people in a relaxed environment. Last year we had over 300 people attending the convention with 250 those staying onsite.

As well as open gaming the convention the second-hand game sale (SHGS) shall return, with an 18XX tournament, quizzes and other activities. 

At the simplest you can bring some games, put up a player's wanted sign, and find keen players to keep you occupied all weekend. There is also an option to sign up for games using the conventions organiser before the event.

The University of Northampton's modern facilities provide spacious gaming areas all in a single building, the Waterside bar in the same venue and ensuite accommodation in adjacent buildings. We are working with the University to yet again provide a selection of real ales available.
