Perfectly Normal Animal Village Simulator is a cute, cozy folk horror game run using Bunnies and Burrows Light. It's suitable for players who are unfamiliar with the system! Characters are pre-generated, so just pick up a sheet and play!

Applewood is a beautiful, picturesque island with a bevy of cute talking animals on it, who live on and work the land. And they just love when newcomers like you move in! It's got all the mod cons- a well-stocked general store, a cute cafe, a picturesque village square, and even a little museum you could dig up fossils for! You'll never leave! Why would you want to! Especially when the festival's coming.

You'll stay for the festival.

Influences for this game range from cozy farming and island life simulators like Animal Crossing on one hand, to folk horror classics like The Wicker Man and Midsommar on the other. While conflict and violence will be dealt with in a distinctly Animal Crossing way, themes of horror will definitely tilt more Wicker Man. You have been warned.

As part of a comfort check at the start of the game, we'll discuss what lines and veils we each want to draw. Lines are “I don't want this content in the game at all," and veils are “I don't mind if this happens in game but I don't want it described in any detail." This is a cute cozy horror, so be prepared for both horror and cuteness, but I want you thrilled rather than upset!
