The UK Games Expo Awards

Have your say in who wins them

Each year in the weeks running up to UKGE we are busy playing and rating games that have been submitted for the awards. The Expo Awards were developed and introduced at UK Games Expo in 2007 to recognise the achievement of manufacturers and publishers in a variety of game genres. A special logo will be available for use by the winners in each category.

Game products on show at Expo 2014 and which had been released in the UK in the preceding 12 months, or are released at Expo 2014 will be eligible for entry into the Awards. If a game is a new reprint or version of a game published in the past but not considered before we will consider it.

What then happens in that the judges play and rate each game on a variety of factors like theme, originality, playability, quality, balance and fun factor and all that goes into rankings for each game. But the judges are not the end of the story. On the weekend you all get a chance to vote in the best games. On arrival you will be given an A4 sheet. One side is the Treasure Hunt, the other side is the voting form for the UKGE awards. Simply tick one box in one or more categories to vote for your choice of the best game in that category. Return the form by 1pm on Sunday to the Admin desk in the Monarch Square. All those votes go into the mix so publishers get those visitors playing your games or looking at your products.
