Get a sneak peek at Ticket to Ride: New York and more at UK Games Expo!

Visitors to UK Games Expo will be able to try out a host of exciting new and upcoming board-game titles – including Ticket to Ride: New York and more - ahead of their full international releases!

Freshly announced by publisher Days of Wonder, Ticket to Ride: New York is an ‘express’ version of the enduringly popular family game that sees players zooming around 1960s New York City in taxis. This fresh and breezy new take on the classic Ticket to Ride gameplay will be demonstrated all weekend on Days of Wonder’s tables at stand A1.

Following Azul’s nomination for the Spiel des Jahres award, publisher Plan B will be showing off their eagerly awaited next titles at stand B9. Century: Eastern Wonders, the follow-up to 2017’s Century: Spice Road, will receive a soft launch at Expo before its August general release, while games fans will be able to play prototypes of the upcoming Coimbra and Reef.

Also available to buy from retailers earlier than its full release will be the new edition of Santorini, the hit family strategy game set in mythical Greece, from Spin Master!

The opportunities don’t end there. Z-Man Games are set to offer previews of Starship Samurai and Choose Your Own Adventure all weekend at stand K28, while at the CMON tables visitors can take part in the first UK play of the A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game!

At the WizKids tables on stand E2, meanwhile, will be the exciting chance to try out a full-art prototype of Magic: The Gathering – Heroes of Dominaria, the new strategy game based on Wizards of the Coast’s beloved card game, due for release in July.

Demonstrations of these new titles and more by Asmodee UK will continue all weekend, with a host of further games to be spotlighted on the Esdevium Games Stand at B9.

All day on Friday, convention-goers can stop by to try out Blue Lagoon, a tense and quick-playing game of expansion by legendary designer Reiner Knizia and published by Blue Orange. That morning will also see prototypes of Ludonaute’s Atlandice available for play, while the afternoon brings a look ahead to Orbis, a new title from Space Cowboys.

On the Esdevium Games Stand all day on Saturday will be Shadows: Amsterdam, a clever, cooperative game of deduction from Libellud, as well as Sunken Sailor, a fantastically funny game of drawing and deceit from Marektoy.

Sunday will bring visitors the chance to try out an advanced prototype of Sun/Moon, the upcoming release from Pearl Games, as well as two hilarious dexterity games – Maki Stack from Blue Orange and Happy Baobab’s Crazy Eggs, a new spin on the game previously released as Dancing Eggs.

What’s more, there are a number of sought-after game accessories and promo items available at UK Games Expo. Players can equip themselves with high-quality playmats for Century: Spice Road and Splendor, available at the show only from retailers, while a Stonehenge card for 7 Wonders Duel can be obtained with a purchase or donation to English Heritage at the Repos sales outlet.
