Indie game publisher, Quality Beast, to demo dual deck-builder, Seize the Bean
"live development" play-testing
This year will see the new, Berlin-based, indie game publisher, Quality Beast, releasing their first game, Seize the Bean. Designed by Dylan Howard Cromwell, Seize the Bean is all about making the best café in Berlin. It’s a dual deck-builder featuring resource management, set collection and something called "investment placement" allowing players a variety of strategies. The components include coffee beans and milk cartons that are physically scooped by the players, life-like sugar cubes to mark player boards, 21 customer groups across 5 of Berlin's most popular districts and 150 unique customers, each with their own Berlin attitude and artwork.
Come visit Quality Beast at the UK Games Expo, booth L11a, to see and play Seize the Bean. They’ll be running a special form of "live development" play-testing in which players help modify the game from one day to the next. They've run this at past events with great success.
Besides playing the game and giving feedback at the UK Games Expo, you can also get involved by visiting http://seizethebean.com to sign up for the game's email newsletter. By doing so you'll stay informed about a public release of the rulebook, print and play files for remote play-testers, and the Kickstarter campaign planned for later this year. From everyone at Quality Beast, enjoy the UK Games Expo and travel safely!
