MORE ABOUT LITTLE ALCHEMISTS

Who knew that dusty old pile of weird beakers, boilers, and bottles full of strange-smelling ingredients you found in the basement would soon become your ticket to alchemy school? After a bit of tinkering, and perhaps a few mishaps, you and your pals seem to have a knack for it!

Fun is brewing for all ages in Little Alchemists, a game of potion craft and deduction for two-to-four players. Based on the original Alchemists game released in 2014, Little Alchemists is a streamlined standalone version that’s geared toward younger players and their families.

Join other ambitious guild leaders in mining and developing the famous City of Silver during its period of rapid economic growth and expansion in the 14th century — from the first discovery of silver near the cistercian monastery to the construction of Kutná Hora, which quickly became one of the most important cities in central Europe.

Kutná Hora is a historical city-building euro game for 2–4 players that features a real-life supply and demand experience where every action you take has an impact on the game’s dynamic economic systems.

In each round, players take turns selecting actions from a hand of double-sided cards to engage strategic plans like mining, purchasing plots of land to build on, gaining permits, raising buildings for their affiliated guilds, gaining profit from their production, and of course working towards the construction of Saint Barbara’s Cathedral.

The asymmetrical nature of each player’s available guilds makes for highly interactive rounds where each decision impacts the economy and other players in interesting ways as they expand their mines and build infrastructure across a shared board.

Mine ore and smelt it into a fortune of silver for expanding this beautiful historic city, but take care to balance your personal goal advancement with the need to further the city’s growth. Everything is connected, and sometimes the path to personal victory relies on the prosperity of the many.

Will you surpass your teachers’ knowledge and grow up to become the best alchemists in the land? Let’s find out! It’s time to grab your potion ingredients, sharpen your deduction skills, and get mixing!

Little Alchemists is a family-friendly deduction game that’s designed to grow with the curious minds of young players, based on the original Alchemists (2014). The game starts with simple concepts and mechanics — you’ll start by gathering and combining ingredients for brewing potions to sell. As you collect keys by achieving your potion-making goals, however, you’ll unlock new chapters that gradually add more components, mechanics, and complexity to the experience.

Not sure how to make potions? No sweat! Potion craft takes mere seconds with the free Little Alchemists companion app. To make a potion, players simply select two ingredient tiles and then scan them using the companion app loaded onto a tablet or smartphone. This reveals the combined result and lets players acquire and mark the corresponding potion knowledge on their secret player board.

With each potion you make, you'll begin to discover the secrets that lie at the heart of alchemy. Players will have to use clever deductions to figure out the arcane properties of each ingredient, and can use that knowledge to their advantage throughout the game!

Over the course of seven chapters that unlock over multiple playthroughs, players will learn and master many new facets of the alchemy trade, preparing them for what’s to come. Each chapter is designed as a replayable experience that expands on the previous chapter, with new layers of game mechanics that add more subtle depth and complexity over time. Also, fully exploring the world of Little Alchemists will introduce you to many of the concepts and better prepare you for the original game.
