Netrunner Open and National Tournaments
Winner flies to USA to play in World Final!
EDITORS NOTE: This article is from 2014. News of later years will be released soon.
After last year's successful inaugural Netrunner tournament, Fantasy Flight Games and Esdevium Games are building the event further.
FFG have decided to hold regional qualifiers for the 16 place National Final to be held at the UKGE. WE will soon post a link for details of the regionals on the Esdevium website. The winner (and maybe some runners up) of those regionals qualify for the Netrunner National to be held on Sunday 1st June at UK Games Expo.
If you can't make a regional you have another chance as the "UKGE Netrunner Open" is also a qualifier. The Open will be on Saturday 31st May. The top four players from the "UKGE Netrunner Open" will qualify for the final on Sunday. Other good news - if you qualify for the final then while you will still need a day pass for the show UKGE has dropped any charge for the tournament.
Paul Grogan will be the Tournament Organiser for both these events.
There will be a range of prizes for the Open so not only the qualifiers will take something home. We will be printing play mats again, The winner of the National will receive an invitation to FFG gaming headquarters in the USA to represent the UK in the World Championships in November. Travel and Accommodation is paid for by FFG and Esdevium Games.
So get practicing and make sure to be ready to buy your tickets on 16th March as the Open only has a guaranteed 48 places (as with all UKGE tournaments this might expand if space permits but we do not guarantee it).
