ACCOMODATION

Where to stay

A bigger Convention - A larger Network of Hotels

The UK Games Expo is now the 4th largest Hobby Convention in the world. Like the other big ones it is now the case that so many people attend that many hotels, both local and a bit further away, need to be part of the accomodation solution for our visitors and exhibitors.

For the 2017 UK Games Expo we have built a network of partner hotels who offer special rates on accomodation, affordable food options and open gaming space.

Please note that these partner hotels are now full or close to full. If you get told by them that they are full... there is no point emaling and asking us if they are full as UKGE do not have any additional rooms or information.

In this case, frustrating though it might be, please book elsewhere. Read more about the hotels issue here.

We have a page on hotels a bit further out - alternative hotels. Many are less than 15 minutes away by car or train.

The Hilton Hotel

NOTE: This hotel may now be full. Do not contact UKGE asking us about rooms - we dont have any spare.

The NEC Metropole offers us hundreds of hotel rooms and the largest open gaming space and evening gaming facilities plus on site food options.

The deal with the Hilton is a rate that is 20% below the current market rate. The rate includes breakfast and carparking. A link for accommodation in the hotel is:

The Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel is on the opposite side of the lake to the Hilton and is about a 10 minute walk away. Shuttle busses connect the hotel during UK Games Expo.

We have a special rate during the UKGE of £139 for Single Room B+B, £149 for a Twin room B+B. Carparking included.

BEWARE - UNAUTHORISED HOTEL PROVIDERS

It has come to our attention that a number of other companies are contacting our exhibitors suggesting that they are able to provide hotel rooms at advantageous rates and giving the impression that they are affiliated to the event. One such company is  The Convention Housing Authority.

This company and other companies have no connection whatsoever to UK Games Expo NOR our partner hotels and have no authority to purport otherwise.

Please be wary of any other accommodation companies or our partners.

Be careful.
